Gemini Gems broken since Flash 3.5?

I've been using Google Gems for a while. Custom versions of Gemini for specific workflows. They used to handle multi-tool operations fine — search the web, then take that result straight into image editing or generation. Research to visual, one conversation.

Since Flash 3.5 landed, that's broken. Gems fail on multi-tool sequences now. Same prompt works fine in a normal Gemini Chat, so I'm guessing it's a bug not a feature cut. No error messages. Just worse output or complete failure compared to the standard chat.
